Ark Pre-school Privacy Notice

The Ark Pre-school is required to obtain certain information to maintain records, safeguard your children, process funding requests, and record the progress of your child. 

We will only hold these records for as long as necessary, according to the retention guidelines issued by Bracknell Forest, which are in accordance with legal requirements.

Learning journals and records of progress are passed onto the next setting when your child leaves us.

We will never share information with a third party without your consent. 

When you join us, you sign a form to allow us to share information with the Local Authority and other local Partners, such as Bracknell Forest Council, Childrens' Services,  NHS Services.  Some of this is developmental progress information for their tracking of progress, but when there is sharing of information specific to your child we will always gain your consent before we do this.  We share information with shared settings, such as childminders or another nursery attended by your child. We request your consent before doing this.  We also share information with settings that your child may be moving onto, such as school or another nursery, in order to enable a smooth transition.  

Any published photographs are done with parental consent obtained, and we will never publish a photo with your child’s name tagged to it.
