Children's Centres in Bracknell Forest
There are eight Children’s Centres in Bracknell Forest where children under 5 years old and their families can access services, support and information from a range of professionals. Centres will provide a range of services depending on local need and parental choice.
· The Chestnuts Children's Centre serves the communities of Crowthorne and Little Sandhurst. The centre is located on Branksome Hill Road in Sandhurst, along with the Alders Children's Centre. All activities are run from community buildings.

The Children's Centres ask that parents register with them so that they can inform you of activities and services on offer that will be of benefit to all families in the local area. In order for this valued service to continue, they do need parents to register to show there is a need to provide services for families in the local community. The Family Information Service (FIS) provides a free and impartial information and signposting service. This information relates to childcare and other services that support parents and carers of children and young people up to the age of 20. We also work with organisations and professionals who support families

There are regular SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY DROP-IN SESSIONS around the Bracknell Forest Area. These allow you to chat to a speech and language therapist, for them to observe your child, give advice and if necessary arrange for a further assessment.
These are ideal for your child if they have difficulties in:
· Understanding words, sentences and instructions
· Using words and sentences
· Pronouncing words
· Stammering
· Voice (e.g. husky/hoarse voice)
· Social skills and play

English as an Additional Language.
